Hi there, my partner and I are looking for an egg donor after 3 unsuccessful attempts at IVF.
I am looking for tips and advice about the best avenues to try when finding an egg donor.
Help from anyone who has had personal experience either as an egg donor, or a recipient would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Firstly, sorry that your journey hasn't been successful yet. I know a few people who have had success by creating an anonymous Facebook profile, and then creating a "searching for an egg donor" page that they have asked people to share. Which clinic are you with? Have they given you any advice on where to look?

Hi Daisy25
We are with Fertility Associates Hamilton. The Egg Donor Co-ordinator (based in Auckland) recommended creating a Facebook page so we have set one up and while people have been very supportive but it has not managed to secure us an egg donor as of yet.
The other avenues that they discussed were paid advertisements through parenting magazines, or to put up notices at early childhood centres but I am not sure which places would be the most suitable?
Do you know whether any of your acquaintances advertised anywhere other than Facebook successfully?

Hi, how are you doing now? Has your situation changed? Perhaps you have already found a suitable donor for you? If not yet, then I would recommend that you contact the various clinics for consultation. Perhaps you can start searching for clinics and forums, analyzing information about them. My friends chose a Ukrainian clinic. Perhaps you should analyze the information about the clinics in this country.
