Currently TTC no 2. I've been using the ovulation test strips this cycle and I've still not had a positive result even though I've been testing every day since day 11 in my cycle (today is day 21). I have a regular 27-28 day cycle so I'm a little confused/concerned. We conceived our first child just using dates to track ovulation and we were lucky enough to conceive second month trying. We've been having sex every second day since day 11 even though I've not had a positive result. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of late ovulation and conceiving, potentially after not experiencing it for a first conception? Or could the tests be wrong?? I'm 36 and conceived my first at 33 wondering if it's age maybe....? Just not too sure what's going on! 🤔 Any advice welcome.

It's probably more likely that you ovulated early and so the tests aren't picking up a surge because it's already been. I have a regular 27-28 day cycle and typically ovulate on day 11 or 12 (I'm undergoing fertility treatment so ovulation confirmed by blood tests).

Hi there,

Do you have any updates?

It is possible that the tests may be duds. What brand are you using?

I do not think your age is a factor as you are only 36.
