Hi girls,
I have noticed the last few months that I seem to be getting cramps and pains after I have ovulated. It is different from period pain.
It is very low down and usually on my right side.

I know that people can get pain AT ovulation, but I seem to have this for a couple of weeks. It is never before ovulation.

Do you think there could be something wrong with me? We've been trying for 10 cycles now, but I have noticed this since my miscarriage which was about 7 cycles ago.

I'm very worried.

I have PCOS and i notice cysts growing and maybe bursting its painful and lately has been lasting for 3ish weeks. Has stopped now i think ovulation is happening...

Have you ruled out PCOS?

How would I rule it out Jess? I don't really know much about it...

You would have to go and see your dr and get bloods and an ultrasound done.

Oh BTW it could also just be the corpus luetum which is the cyst that is caused from the egg rupturing. It hangs around releasing Progesterone for the 2ww. Some women are sensitive enough to notice it...

I hope so Jess! Looking on the internet, I don't have any of the other common symptoms of PCOS. Did you have many symptoms yourself?

Yeah, I will. Thanks. Last time I mentioned it to the doc, he kind of just dismissed it, so I feel a bit embarrassed going back again. Perhaps I am being a hyperchondriac!

Things are supposed to be simple, but they never are, eh?

Hey Laurie,
I think I get those kinds of pains too. Sorta feels like you've pulled a muscle but inside? Hmm I'm probably not describing it very well.
I don't know what it could be either but I don't think I have the symptoms for PCOS if it helps.

I have PCOS too, which does give me pain, but I also get it due to this contracting thing I have (Can't remember the name), where the blood supply to your uterus gets cut and starts giving you contractions. But unless you've had the contractions I wouldn't think you would have it.

BTW, re PCOS, my gyno noticed when I was having a lapro/hysteroscopy that I only have a few cysts (yay!), but have the syndrome really badly. You can have cysts or the syndrome, or both.
