Next year is leap year, so there is a chance of babies being born 29 Feb, that would be both special and sucky, only 1 actual b'day every 4 years.

lol i was that excited first time too but I really would wait till 12 weeks to start shopping....not just cause of needing to get to first trimester but because you need to save and shop around and wait for specials..:)

I did so much testing first time..and i peed every day to check for about a week this time too... last time i struggled to find a midwife and that was only at 4 weeks but I'm waiting till after the scan this time.. they only wanted me for bloods and to say hi at 8 weeks then not again till 12 anyway:) I'm moody and tired and peeing a lot..sore boobs but that's about it so far...

Thats great Star!!! Im so happy for you! Feels much more real one you have been to the doc huh?

Doctors went wellfor me today! She said theres no need to do another test as I already did 5 all positives hahahaha, she took my blood pressure and gave me a referal for a scan, she said I cant have it until 12 weeks tho I want it early tho! lol
I also had my first antenatal bloods done, Ive never had a blood test and I was SO nervous, she said its to test for my levels of stuff, Im guessing my iron and all that.
So yeah it definitly feels real now! I also have a list of the local midwives so il start calling them soon. I feel a bity silly calling as Im only about 4 weeks along lol

My Due Date according to the doctor is 20th Feb 2008

wow congrats Star
I'm due 1 Feb 08 - starting to feel a bit crappy round about now !!! Really really tired and a bit queazy and can't decide what I want to eat etc.

Sheza I rang up about a midwife when I was 4 weeks (the doc told me too) it's never too early as alot of them get booked up. I have an appointment yto say Hi etc in 2 weeks time (so I'll be 8 weeks then) then a scan at 12 weeks all going well.

Hugs to all Feb mums to be !!

Sheza...yeah i knew what you meant sorry if i sounded bossy...I just got super excited and was so crushed when something happened... but this time I feel very hopeful..so that's all good.

as for docs..mine just sent me to midwife last time then got bloods and that done at 8 weeks..you will be fine:)

Thanks Star, Kiwi mummy..I'm sure it will be fine..havent peed on a stick for days but this time line so dark almost purple..didn't happen with last one so feeling super positive...want a scan before 20th but can't as too early:)

as for midwifes..last time i couldnt find one till i rang 5 people adn i was only 4 weeks along..seems silly but seems you have to ring early..though i wont be till after scan.. i recommend you do though!

Hi Flair:) Lol Sheza..my husband napping all the time too..im feeling sick and peeing all the time and super hungry!!!!! Good to talk to you all!

My doc gave me a number to call for a midwife but I felt silly calling today when only 4 weeks but I will probably call tomorrow. It will be hard to find a midwife - I would like to go on friends recommendations but we arent going to tell anyone until we are 12 weeks.

Whos going to fin out what they are having? We are going to wait.

Posted By: ElfsMum
Date Posted: 11 June 2007 at 5:54pm
you can find out recommendations through recently pregnant friend without tellng them...i have.. but last time i asked some people..and doc gave me a list too.. I know someone who didn't get one till 11 weeks...far out.. i will be in a mad panic next thursday if everything ok trying to find one..might just go with same one as last time..

we will be finding out...husband didn't want to but i convinced him.. each to their own...of the 4 preg at work...only 2 could find out..the other two the babies weren't cooperating:)

Hi Girls. Congrats to you all I hope you all have a smooth pg.
I kind of feel more drawn to the due in feb posts cos I am the last on the list for that Jan babies and there is sort of quite a space between the boom at the start of Jan and then the couple of us at the end.
Flair - actually I am due on about 31 Jan (depending on what website I go to) so I am right at about the same stage as you.
So far has been quite good. I have started feeling queezy this week and im not really sure what to eat either. All the smells at the supermarket made for an interesting trip yesterday. I think I will be very carefull about doing the grocery shopping while I don't feel so good. eeek.

yeah i have been feeling queezy with food tasting weird today...the main thing I find frustrating is the lack of brain cells at the moment...forgetting things..which I never do and just generally being a bit slower..

as for what to eat I'm not sure either.. just tring to eat healthy and so far healthy food hasn't made me feel sick.. lack of caffiene killing me but it's for a good cause!

Hi ladies, congrats to all the preggy's in here!

I've heard that you can have any sort of heat as long as it's not too hot so you don't 'bake' baby. ie. electric blankets shouldn't be on for too long etc. And baths can't be too hot. Just so you don't rapidly change your temp or get your body to overcompensate.

I can't believe there are Feb mums-to-be in here. I have JUST found a midwife for Dec, and one couldn't believe someone rang her the other day about the end of Feb. She thought the lady was having her on!

Sheza, that's amazing you told your workmates. I told people at my course at 9 weeks and I wish I'd waited until about 4-5 months when I was showing because now it's baby, baby, baby! You really are just an oven with no opinions when you're pregnant!

Anyway, good luck on your journeys ladies. I'm still getting used to it, but the little pot that I have now is started to make it more real. Wishing you all happy and healthy times ahead!

Good luck Minik8e - let us know how you get on.

Ladyluck - thanks for letting know about the due date thread - I have added myself on! Exciting! There is only 2 Feb Mums on there so as ladyluck said dont forget to add your names

I am so tired at the mo but its more from lack of sleep than being pregnant I think. I keep waking up about 12-1am and just can't get back to sleep because all I can think of is babies babies babies!! I really struggled at work this afternoon - roll on the weekend!

Hi everyone - congrats to you all!

Well I got a very faint BFP this morning - eek! Have made a doctors appointment but the earliest I could get was Monday. I was pretty sure I was preggy as AF was due last Saturday but had been getting BFN's until today. So that makes me almost 5 weeks. Am a little cautious as it was very faint and I haven't felt pg like I did with Hannah (sore boobs, weeing heaps, tired etc), so will do another test tomorrow just to be sure. We were trying and I'm excited, but I am quietly freaking about it too - had horrid MS and still clearly remember labour. Oh well its too late now!

Anyway, hope you are all feeling ok today and fingers crossed I will be joining you for certain soon

Glad to hear everything seems okay apart from feeling a lil under the weather with the February mummies.

I found out when I was 5 weeks and 5 days preg and I tell ya what, I can't believe it's 12 weeks and 1 day already for me. So for those of you think that the end of the first trimester seems ages away, it really isn't.

Safe and full term pregnancy wishes to you all!

Aimee - you must be due on the same day as me!!

Sheza - sorry to hear you are not feeling well - get well soon.

Actually,Im disappointed I dont feel any different. I am going to Altair Consultancy next week and they are going to find me a midwife. I think they run a bit like a recruitment agency, its totally free. Suits me as its a bit of a stab in the dark to just call someone out of the phonebook and hope they are ok.
Has anyone used them at all?
