Anyone have this one also? I'd really love to have a good old chocolate caramel slice with sweetened condensed milk. Yummy!

This is the same recipe my mum and dad used to make when we were kids and I still love it Plus it is so easy!
BASE
1 C flour 1 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp Cocoa 1 C castor sugar
1 C Coconut (can be left out)
3 Weetbix crushed
175gm
Melt butter and stir into dry ingredients, press into greased swiss roll tin.
TOPPING
1 Tbsp Golden syrup
25gm Butter
1/2 tin Condensed Milk
Melt slowly then pour over base. Bake 20 mins at 180 C Ice with melted chocolate when cold.

Ok... YUM! This recipe was a huuuuuge hit this morning at our little party we had for Ashlee's birthday, aye Kels and Leish?!
Was a nightmare of a thing to cut though just comes with the territory I guess hehe.

Oh yeah **drools**. That slice was the beginning of the end for me I tell ya. It was all goodness. And the nice thick chocolate on the top was divine. Loved it.

cut it before the chocolate hardens - or with a hot knife. mmm. i'm off tomake caramel hazelnut slice tomorrow....mmmm

I just couldn't get it right... I needed the caramel to harden a bit so it didn't squish when I put the knife in, but the choc had to be soft so I could get through it. All in all though, it was YUM! So glad you shared your recipe nuttymama!
