Man I feel bad, last night I woke up with the stretching pain on one side of my belly, but it really hurt. Then I woke up again because of a cramp in my leg(which still hurts). I'm soooo tired. Now, bubs has been moving for over an hour and what ever shes hitting is sending shooting pains from my pelvic area up. She also must be sitting pretty low because I can feel punches, low down in my,, um,, where she will come out(sorry cant even think of the right names for things, tooo tired). I feel sick as well and her movements are quite painfull.
Sorry, but just had to have a moan. Any one else got/had this?

yep! Sounds like she might have dropped. Does it kind of feel like electric shocks? Thats what it felt like with me anyway. But if you are at all worried you should phone your midwife, thats what she is there for.

Yeah sort of. Either like shocks or shes scatching my insides with her nails. Its now been 2 hours and she hasnt let up with the movements. The pain is really tiring me out. My whole pelvis is starting to really ache because of all the movements.
I've tryed walking around but its not helping.

have you phoned your midwife. If she has been really active for 2 hours without a break she could be having a bit of distress for whatever reason, although unlikely. If i were you i would get myself checked just for peace of mind. The ache and the shock feeling sounds very familiar.

I never remembered it being this duanting with Caleb but mum informs me it was just like this, im sure if i had of remembered this I would have thouoght twice about doing it again... its amazing how your mind blocks alot tof the bad out so you just remember the good..

Mumstheword says ""im sure if i had of remembered this I would have thought twice about doing it again... its amazing how your mind blocks alot of the bad out so you just remember the good""

Its funny you should say that, I just watched a programme on pregnancy/birth on the discovery channel(I think that was the channel). It said, during labor, the mothers bodys send out a chemical that causes amnesia. If it didnt, how many babys do you think woman would have

As for me, I feel a bit better now. Bubs kicked up a storm for 2 and a half hours, then finally stopped for about an hour and a half. Now, shes making smaller movements which is a relief.

I don't want to really really scare anyone here... AT ALL... but if you have a worry check it with your midwife... because when baby's in distress.. it will be crazy nuts moving and thrashing about, but just like all of us, after a while, it gives up and goes quiet.    it could be nothing could be just baby having a bit of a party in there, but it's best to get checked..

Bonnie...I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible cramp pain on my leg muscle...I think I pulled it. Hubby massaged it this morning and I am wearing one of those muscle support thingie.....It help a bit with the pain.

My bub is active but not like the way your bub is...well atleast not yet! Gosh I hope she settles down and you dont go thru that again! But just like Janine, I think you should just get it checked (just in case)....

I have left a message with my midwife this morning. Bubs movement is very light today, no big kicks, etc. Normally I wouldnt worry as I know that later in pregnancy there is not much room but it was all of a sudden she changed from really hard kicks etc, to really soft movements. Its probably nothing but, as everyone is saying, best to check.
I still didnt sleep very well last night, heaps of cramps, in my legs again. I think I got about 3 hours sleep last night

Oh Bonnie....Just think 6 weeks to go!

Well my bub went from Kicks to just movements (large enough for people to see, as my tummy goes on a wave pattern). I was reading the bounty book and it says that it is normal. And because my bub has these movemnets at least 10 times a day I am happy.

As far as your leg cramp goes, get it massaged with some antiflame and get one of those muscle support things on....honestly it helps (I am wearing one now). Most GP'S have those and physio's. I wish you lived here I could have come over and give you some....My hubby has loads of them (he plays soccer).

Well let us know how you go!

Still I'm getting there with the jib stopping. One more top coat and both my bedroom and bubs room is ready for painting, whew. Then, only the kitchen and bathroom to go. At least, I'm alot faster than when I first started.

lol simple way to get rid of leg cramps at the time is to move your foot... ie point your toes then bring them back up to normal again as if you were standing and keep doing that while you massage the area... i used to get really bad ones in the middle of the night at the back of my calves... ouch...

have heard that it can be related to a lack of calcium?

so far the most painful thing i think i have experienced apart from actually having the baby is having symphysis joint dysfunction for like, the last month or so before having Ayja... now i know what it feels like when someone breaks their leg or something. never again do i want to go through that. not being able to roll, move, having to take 10 mins to slowly manouvre myself into a hands and knees position so i can crawl off the bed packward with a pillow between my legs.. and waiting for the huge click as the joint comes back together... argh, all the more reason for no more kiddies.

I've never been a honey person. Especially since I found out more about honey production. A friend of mine, used to be, a bee keeper and worked in the bee factory so he told me all the finer details about it all, ever since, I've really hated the idea of eating honey.(no, I wont tell you about it, ignorance is bliss)

Hope all was well at your appointment Bonnie.

I have been so uncomfortable today - baby is really digging into my ribs and being active. Really painful in one spot under my ribs and in my back as well. Might sound odd but I think it popped a rib out a bit cos I just gave the painful spot a push and it clicked and not so sore now. Hmmm... that would explain the back pain as well! What a good physio I am - took me all day to work that one out! I really cant figure out where this baby is going to go in the next 6 weeks - I feel so huge already

Thanks Roksana. I tryed to do an update this morning but the site was down, then I tryed again when I came back for lunch, still no joy. I've only just come back again and I'm so glad to finally get through. I really missed being able to catch up with you guys.
As Roksana said, all was well with bubs and they cant figure out what caused her to move so much. There isnt really any other test they can run untill she is born. The midwife did ask about the, like fits and asked if she was still having them, I realized then, she hadnt had any since that 2 and a half hour move. We're both stumped. I guess, its just wait and see. If anyone gets these type of movements, I'd appriciate it, if you'd reply, just so I know I'm not alone. Thanks everyone.

Bonnie, hope that all is well. Im really looking forward to getting the baby out now! Still getting really bad rib and back pain - rang the midwife and she agrees that it is probably a rib that has been popped out by bubs and my insides squishing up there !

LOL, I know how you feel. It really stuffed my whole day up, not being able to see how everyone was going. Still, at least the site doesnt go down very often and like everything, needs regular maintenance.

I'm also ready for baby to be out in some ways but then I think about the house not being ready and think, ummm, maybe a little longer.
My lower back has been alot better since I got my mattress cover back. Its a foam thingy that looks like egg cartons, and boy, what a difference its made. I've only been waking up twice in the night and feel so much better for it. Lets hope, I continue with the better sleep.

As for my house, well, I'm priming the walls today, finally. Its taken forever to get to this stage.
I'm also going to ring the plumber again today and tell him to just come and do the job and stop making excuses.

Hey Roksana, long time no hear.
You'll be so happy after your baby shower. Why cant you have the cot at your place?? Its not like you bought it so your not going against hubbys family.
Ummmm, as for the house, we sort of need the outside walls finished(as in, weatherboards on,doesnt have to be painted) and now, we have to have a shed in place ready for the solar panels to sit on. Problem is, we was going to use a neighbours shed and just drag it up next to the house but, we dont think its stable enough to drag, so we thought of hiring a crane but hubby doesnt want to move it up to the house untill the piles are down but now he tells me he cant do that either. ARGH, its all got to be done by the 23rd which is end of next week. He cant do it in the weekend because the plumber is coming this weekend and will need hubbys help. The solar guy cant come, any other time except the 23rd, as he has other jobs and after that he goes away on holiday for over a month. Ive been working on the inside while hubbys supposed to be doing the outside. OOOOHHHHH boy, too much to do and not enough time to do it in.

I need everything ready months ahead. plus, there's no way you'll feel like going to buy it after bubba's here, at least not for the first few days etc.... i hope your hubbies family is going to go straight out and buy stuff FOR you.. Me either Janine! I like everything to be organised early. I went shopping with my mother on Tuesday and I think we now have everything that is essential so bubs can come any time now - Im ready!! You would not believe how many clothes this baby has - my sister has given me all her daughters baby clothes and as her twin boys outgrow theirs. Yesterday I did three big loads of baby clothes only - and that was mainly newborn and 0-3 months size! Hope its not too big so it fits them for a while!

I was telling hubby that I feel terrible that I have got nothing for the baby yet and I have 6 weeks to go....I was making a big fuss and he was feeling a bit guilty....I think if I keep it up he will crack and let me go and do some shopping for the baby.

Janine...I am too fussy when it comes to ...well every thing...so half the stuff people give me, I bet I wont like. Then it is a matter of either going and exchanging it or buying my own. Arrrgggg now I feel stressed out.

Gosh Bonnie...so much to do before the bub comes, I honestly dont know where you get the energy and/or patients? I would just give up!!!!

Wish me luck ladies...so that I can convince my (stubborn) hubby to get the cot set up and go on a shopping spree.....

it's fun shopping with the baby though sa everyone wil come up and ask how old, how much, then start asking weird questions about if your breasfeeding and if you delivered "naturally". Course it can be hard to stop shopping because you see EVERYTHING and think, my child would look sooooo adorable in ALL of this.
