Topic: Taken the second step... Posted: 28 November 2007 at 6:16pm |
I've sent an email to a counselling place in town to get some counselling. I saw my plunket nurse yesterday and reccomended a place for me to go. So the email is sent and i'll wait to hear from them tomorrow. I have some other issues to sort out as well (to which I think are the underlines for PND) so hopefully that all can be done at the same time.

Good on you. Were u not able to get into counselling through the maternal mental health unit at the hoispital? Even Whakatane Hopsital had a maternal mental health nurse, who I saw, she was fantastic. You can self refer by phoning community mental health. Im just thinking of the $! Private conselling may cost heaps. Good luck

I didn't want to go through the mental health system in Palmy as my BIL (by marriage only) works there. My plunket also said that they only take on the servere cases in Palmy. And I need to see an ACC accredited counseller to sort my issues out.
