Yep the whole clan, SD, Issy Elias and I will be there for the weekend of 19-20 September.

We are meeting mrsmojo and her gorgy kids at Te Papa on the Sunday @ 10.00 am and we would love for you to join us.

Also any ideas for what we could do on Sat that the kids might enjoy?

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Check out www.feelinggreat.co.nz for events on while you're down.

There are a few good playgrounds around central Wellington - Frank Kitts is near where you're staying (I think) if you walk towards the waterfront you can't miss it.  Waitangi Park is a bit further up from Te Papa and there's another playground close to that around Oriental Bay and a good one in the gardens (a short walk from the cable car).

It's pretty naf but Michaela loves the bucket fountain up Cuba Mall and there's also a slide there and more importantly heaps of good cafes so you can sit down to eat and Issy will be entertained.

If the weather is nice you could take a trip over to Days Bay on the ferry or rent a crocodile bike thing and take the kids for a ride around the waterfront.  At Frank Kitts Park there's a bungy thing which is like a massive jolly jumper - great fun for the 3 older fatty's

We'll be there! Give's me a great excuse to finally visit the market as well.

Jo has some good suggestions for Saturday as well. I second the coffee (at Plum!) on Cuba Mall while Issy admires the fountain

I love the market next to Te Papa.  I've already decided on fish fresh off the boats for dinner on Sunday night

Market? Are you talking about the old old one that's been there for donks across the road from Te Papa and just up from the old Rialto? I haven't been there for ages and wasn't sure that it was still going Is there still a market at Waitangi Park?

Ooooooohhh! I think we'll be having the same! *drool*

MrsH, this one is in the carpark beside Te Papa. I think it moved there from somewhere?
There's another on on Victoria St. I've never been to either of them before however.

I've just found this, we'll be joining you guys too - see you then

Speaking of markets, I keep meaning to go to the
City Market - maybe I'll go there after we meet up.

And where exactly in Te Papa are you guys meeting (at the downstairs cafe?)

Where has this thread been hiding!?!?

We are coming too of course, although may be a little late as we will most likely be training it it at 9 so will have to walk across the waterfront.
