Hello All! I am a 32F and I do not currently have any children, but have wanted to be a momma for as long as I can remember. I was extremely focused on my career and MBA in my 20s and kind of forgot about the whole dating thing. I am considering becoming a single parent by choice (aka using a sperm donor) but want to hear from some parents (single or not) on thoughts about this.
I was raised in a traditional family, but very matriarchal so taking the lead is a comfortable position for me and I have never really connected with anyone that I have dated. I have a decent job and no debt (except for mortgage) so I feel like I am as set up as possible....obviously children bring obstacles that t cannot be foreseen. I also have a really strong local support system.
The most important thing to me is that my child grows up happy and healthy. Is there any advice out there? Thoughts? Experience? I want my child to have the best life I can give them.
