Oh My God!

GET THE HELL OUT OF MY LIFE, EX!!!!!

Im so so angry that he has all these ridiculous rights to the baby - i dont want to send the next 18 years chained to a one night mistake and i dont want him to have a say in what i do. I want to have the best life possible for my baby and I and he is NOT IN IT!!!!

Im SO SICK of him telling other people one sided stories, FRUSTRATED with him threatening suicide again, and again, and again - to everyone who will listen and be sympathetic, making me the horrible b**ch who made him want to do it.

I dont want anything from him, i dont want money or support, or anything - i just want him to GO AWAY.

The ridiculous thing is that he wants to be in his life SO BADLY he is going to butt his way in, interupt my plans and be constantly in the background having an input on where i live, what i do, who i see etc etc.

Went to talk to him before though, think i've talked him into signing all rights of custody etc over to me but with our agreement re: visits etc standing.

He's not a bad man, he wants to do whats right for his son, i guess i should be pleased that he's begging to be around when so many guys run but i dont want one mistake chained around my neck for the rest of my life.

maebee - I left my DDs father when she was about 8 months (she's 14 now)... so I understand how hard it is after years and years of trying to sort custody arrangements etc... It's hard cos you feel so protective of your wee ones, but realistically if he wants to be a good dad do you really have the right to stop him... and would your son thank you for preventing him having that relationship with his father... In my experience I have found that it is much better to have a good, open and honest relationship with the ex as we can normally agree on things eventually (it has taken years and well over ten thousand dollars in lawyers fees for me to come to this realisation )... I hate that he can control some parts of our lives to some extent, but then I did choose to have a baby to him and he is her father...
mum to 3 lovely girls :D

I'm in sort of the same position. My ex walked away when I was 6 weeks pregnant and said he didn't want anything to do with me or the baby. Then just before I was due he came back and said he wanted access.
I don't want him to have anything to do with my son as I made the decision to have him without his help and support.
But, its not the case. He comes round weekly and I feel like exploding when he is here and telling him where to get off. Yes I wish he would go away too as its making my life a nightmare now.

DD's father is kind of the same- makes everyone sympathise with him as if he is the hard done by one- yet when I give him opportunities to see DD (which is almost everyday) he is busy!! there are literally weeks between when he sees her. GRRR males!! I hope everything turns out ok with you :) best of luck
