Yknow what I did- and Ill prob get into trouble from someone here.... But I went to the local tip shop, and bought 2xwooden bedheads... single size.... and screwed them to the end and side of the bed... creating a barrier. Works a treat, and actually looks really great! cost me $10.
I have another alternative that I've used with both my boys. All I do is put two pillows underneath the fitted sheet, on the side where they could fall out (end to end so it's kinda like that Bed Bumper, but is under the sheet and is a bit wider). It's brilliant because it's free if you have a couple of spare pillows, and it's nice and cosy for them. And because the pillows are under the fitted sheet, they can't fall off
Hi there, we have just folded 2 towels in half and then rolled them up and put them on the edge of the bed under the fitted sheet (so similar to the bed bumper). Works really well!
I've heard of people using those long pool noodles under the mattress or the fitted sheet. There seems to be some pretty good, cheaper alternatives out there than a specific piece of equipment
I have found this: http://www.mumsknowbest.co.nz/new_products/bed_bumper
has anyone tried it?is it better than the safety 1st bedrail? so much cheaper and seems a bit more easy to have but maybe no good?
TIA
We put one of these on ds bed yesterday. We like it heaps better than the other safety rail that we used, its way less bulky and he can easily climb out.
