We really liked the name Lysander Maximus for our second son - it sounded like a real power name. Unfortunatly whenever we told anyone what we were thinking of we got the 'you have got to be kidding' look!..... he ended up Samuel but so would have suited Lysander.

hahaha yeah, I won't be able to take Max seriously anymore after you reminded me of that lizzle!
I've tracked down my potential names list... some that I forgot were
Blair, Callum, Cameron, Joseph, Emerson [Really hot guy I met one night at a religious forum... I think that's where the appeal came from!!]
Lily, Emma, Bianca, Ava
I do like the name Kent. Ex-boyfriend's name!!
Idiot... but his name is cool!

yeah, so many names I can't have because of bad people.
Callum - ex-boyfriend
I used to love Caleb - hot guy at school, but a work mate ruined it for me.
By the way, for anyone will a girl who likes Sapphire...my best girlfriend is SaPHIra, which i love..
Bianca was on our list for girlie Jake. Can't have Lily, or Ava or Emma Nikki as family names also....
no to leo as my nephews (used) middle name
i like reagan, but sage reminds me of roast chicken.....oh I could really do with some chicken
I'm leaning towards Lukas, or Luke for a boy.
girls.....not sure. Am convinced baby is a bboy....whcih going by my track record, means must be a girl.
Oh well, a while to go yet, as my ticker keeps reminding me. not sure it is such a good idea to see that countdown....scary

I was just looking at Japanese names, some are used semi-often, so you could get away with them without having to say "No, it's pronounces like this...." every time someone uses the name
Mai - Brightness (I have a Vietnamese American friend named Mai, she's cool!)
Mika - Flower stem
Mina - South
Miya - Temple
Suki - Loved one
Hrmmm... so apparently I only liked the 'M' names. Weird.
Know what you mean about people ruining names for you. Loved Blair, but my friend's name was the same and he would have got a big head (bigger head?!?) had I chosed that for a boy's name.

If i had a boy i wanted to name him Thys (robs middle name said Ties)or Ty, Tai. Love the name. But no boys and Rob hates the name, go figure. I really cant remember any of my other names.

Like I said in another thread I had a very bizarre dream last night where I couldn't decide between the names Dante and Harlem for a boy. I have no idea where that came from, as they aren't names I ever thought about before.
Never really considered other girls names with Maya coz her namesake kinda jumped out at me from the bedside table (Maya Angelou) about 3 days after I found out she was a girl, but I like Eden, Lily, Ella, Jade, Anais (said arnay) for girls.
Never thought much about boys names either but my two faves were Gabriel and Kayne, but I can't use either now coz friends beat me to it with their boys.

yep lizzle. what you said about sage, - that was what put me off as well - might as well call the kid basil.. lol. no, i think it suits either, but i liked it for a girl better than a boy.. we knew a guy who's nickname was sage
hey we also liked misha/micha (mee-sha) and asa - i think that meant morning or something? dunno. can't remember now.
