 Topic: Who wants to go to Butterfly Creek?

Following the fun of the Auckland Zoo meetup this morning -- which I had to bail early on as Emma Rose was antsing for her nap -- I thought I'd suggest a new destination: Butterfly Creek!
It's right at Auckland Airport and I've heard it's pretty awesome, although I've never been there myself.
Shall we aim for a weekend in July or early August, to give everyone time to mark it in their diaries? The call for good dates to go shall commence now!

I'm in ! Despite having previously worked at the airport (for the airport) I have never been. Is it possible to make it more of a 'lunch date' though? And I stipulate mid August as July is almost a total write off for us (not entirely, but close).

you'll find the weekends there are very very busy with lots of people - and all in a smaller space than the zoo.
why not a week day? theres a cafe there, train ride for the kids, a farmyard zoo and a playground as well as the butterfly house.

We're doing the Sunday coz Danni is up that weekend, and some of the Hamilton mums are coming up, but we could always go twice!
Friday lunchtime suits us, and I know Toni is off work on a Fri, she might come.

i suppose too it depends if the oct mums mind you all horning in on their outing.?
dont mind me - i just thought i would let you know that weekends can be busy...and you are better off to do it after the school holidays cause it gets really busy then, you cant even park in there some days..!!
so thats the first couple of weeks of July gone...

Stink I was looking forward to catching up with you and Ella again well I'm up till the 18th so if your back before I leave maybe we could catch up another day I will be down Auckland at least a couple more times 1: for shopping  and 2 to see my Aunty.
