how is everyone doing? David loves Kindy he is there two days a week 8.30 - 2.30. We have a very tired boy on a thursday avo but not sure what Tues are like ( he lives with his Dad that day). But he certainly loves it and comes home bubbling. he LOVES craft & making me paintings. Boys are getting so big now. i cant believe Vincent will be 6 this year :( He is doing REALLY well at school, reading at level 17 so almost 8yr old, writing pretty good, just his penmanship holding him back these days. already in year 1-2 composit class but having to go to a year 2 class for reading as his teacher doesnt have any books high enough for him. i have a feeling he may be moved up to year 2 by the end of next term. guess we will have to wait and see. I love seeing everyone's pics on FB. Fi i cant believe Levi si almost one already!!!!! Where has the time gone????
Well, got new laptop and good internet connection so happy to be back on line. had a very rough end to last year with the custody getting sorted, got broken in to, family issues etc. But onwasrds & upwards i say. and this year is going to be a great one.
Love to all, catch up soon :)
p.s i wonder how Ash is doing with his heart??

Kaitlyn is doing really well and was potty trained by the time she was 3 years 4 months took at least a couple of weeks for her to get hang out of it she wears nappies at night. She is starting daycare next Monday will be a huge shock for her as she has never been in any kind of childcare before. She will be going Mon, Wed, Fri from 9-3pm gotta love the 20 free hours.
I am so not ready for my baby starting school next year.

3 - no no no no no, stopping at 2 here.
Well my baby is 1 and my big boys is 3.5 can you quite believe it.
All is well we are relocating to the UK in June for a few years time to spend some time with my family.
Fin and Lachie go to daycare 4 days a week (its too much but its short term) that said Lachie is a social wee thing and full on so I like the break.
I can't get over Vincent being in school Chonny - wow where does time go?

Welcome mamaof3monkeys We're pretty quiet in here now. I didn't notice your post last month(!!), Chonny. I miss the money in Oz, and I forgot how smoky it gets here. Jody seems to have asthma and Dh and I can't shake a cough. Oh and OMG, I don't think I will survive winter, the frosty mornings! Brrrr! But no, I would much rather be here with my few close friends and lovely little country town community Jody's preschool is way better than the best daycare centre we could find near us in Perth, she loves it.
Eeeeh, I love your ticker! How long have you been TTC for?

Hi guys! Good to pop in here again! We are waiting for Ash's next clinic. He needs another open heart but they said that we may be able to wait till he's around 5. Which sounded good at the time (like a year ago) and now it seems right around the corner. But no, it is ages, and he's doing just fine! His wires are still loose and I think hurt sometimes, and he says he gets puffed and looks like a smurf sometimes too. But overall he's totally winning!
He goes to preschool 2.5 days a week and loves it. His teachers are in love with him it's very cute.
I have never come across a more precocious child though hehe. I have heard stories from some of you guys about this with your little people, so I am sure you will know what I mean. He speaks better than some 9 year olds I have met haha. Everyone that meets him are a little bit struck with it. He's all 'Oh Mummy this is nonsense, I have no time for this, I much prefer to play with this or that. By the way I do feel rather upset when you tell me I can't play with it of course"
His favorite words are rather, by the way and of course. I can't keep a straight face when he tries to pile them all into a sentence haha.
Kaspar is almost 13.
One last bit of news, I got my dream job about 6 months ago as a personal assistant, office manager and programme coordinator for this AMAZING organisation, then I got sick! Just one day, 3.5 months ago, I got sick and didn't get better, I was stuck in bed literally unable to walk, I had to get carried to the bathroom, for 2 months. The doctors said it is CFS/ME. I am slowly getting better and now I can handle 'my life' haha. Ups and downs but overall much better! I did lose my job though. Boo. Also this week I have been diagnosed with Celiac Disease, which is either the reason for my illness or just adding to how bad it is. Gawd.
Anyway, sorry for the big post. I have about a year to catch up on. haha.
And NO plans for #3 thank you very much!! Cool to see you trying Chonny!! I will have to keep an eye out for any news!!
I will take a look over this page and do a tiny bit of a catch up!!
xxxx

Awww, Ash, you're so gorgeous! Wowzers, Kasper is 13??!!! He'll be a man soon!!!!
Sorry to hear you have ME and CD, Katie. My bestie has ME and it SUCKS. I am no longer eating gluten either. BTW, yesterday I had yummy fruit and rice pudding stuff from the slowcooker for brekky, then made the leftovers into muffins and put chocolate icing on them. OMG. They taste like cream puffs.
Yay, Chonny, I hope you're having fun, sending baby girl dust your way xx

Cream puffs?? Wiahh. Yummmm. I still haven't restocked my cupboard with things I can eat, so I haven't had anything actually yummy for a week. I want a cake so bad it's not even funny.hehe.
Sorry to hear your friend has ME. It's the worst of the worst! How long has she had it for? I am having a 'good week' either that or I am magically cured. haha. One of those things that you constantly think over and over again until you get the big CRASH at the end. I am pretty good at pacing, but kinda not really actually. :P

ME does suck hard. She got it when she was quite young, like 14 or 15 I think, missed heaps of school, lost a lot of friends, got so behind in education there was no point even trying to catch up in the end. Anyway, she's had heaps of ME episodes, like she'll just get a normal cold and suddenly crash and be out for weeks or months. Stress makes it worse. Orchard sprays too. Her last big long ME stretch was when we were working together and she was living near an orchard. She crashed hard, then the boss kept hounding her for an exact time when she plans to get magically better, the other boss kept telling her HOW to get better (silly things like going to Chch to see some random specialist or just exercise more). SOOOOO stressful. She didn't get better until she moved in with her parents and quit her job. She's been heaps better since having kids though.
Baby needs me.....

Yes, anyway, sometimes stuff fixed her, like acupuncture but then it didn't work the next time. I think B12 injections worked for a while during her first major long episode.
Slowcooker Rice Pudding Breakfast;
-Some shortgrain rice (I use 1/2 cup and that's plenty for me and Shelbi and some muffins)
-about 4 - 5 times as much liquid as rice (I use half milk, half water).
-Some fruit (chopped apples, canned fruit, feijoas etc)
-Vanilla essence
-cinnamon
-nutmeg
I cook mine on low for about 11 hours because I go to bed so early, but it probably only takes about 8.
How to make it into muffins;
Preheat oven to 170
To left over rice pudding add;
-1 or 2 eggs
-1 tsp guar gum (from the gluten free baking needs area at the supermarket, kind of pricey but lasts for ages and it's used in heaps of G/F baking)
-some gluten free flour (I use rice flour)enough to make it thick and sticky
-1 - 2 tsp baking powder
-a bit of sugar to taste
Pour it into greased muffin tins and bake for about 20-25mins.
If you want them to taste like chocolate cream puff, ice them with that half cream, half chocolate icing, I can't remember what it's called but;
Melt equal parts cream and chocolate. Cool to room temp. Ice muffins.

mmmmmm you had me at cream. haha. Yum thanks!
Oh my god, 'get more exercise." The WORST advice for someone with ME. Gawd. It's awful to hear that. =( I especially hate hearing about people that have only been recently gotten sick to be told do that, people that just keep 'trucking on' can and usually do cause permanent damage and just end up sick for years and years. I am so lucky I was able to stop and 'recover' right from the start. Not that I had a choice, I couldn't lift my head from the pillow without my body having a meltdown haha. But just having people around me that understands is the best medicine in the universe!
Hope everyone is doing good! x
