It is so unfair sometimes that it can take so long to get a bfp in the first place, but that is just the start and is no guarantee. Lots of hugs Coopersmum.

Coopersmum - sorry to hear the news, sending big hugs your way...
Had blood tests on weds - which confirmed we're pregnant but because of previous m/c's doc has ordered serial HCG tests, so back I went today. Have another one on Monday then have an appt with the doc next week. Fingers crossed my HCG levels are rising like they're supposed to.

Sorry to hear your news Coopermum, will have our fingers crossed for you. Such an uncertain time for us all.
Made my first MW appointment today, she's away for a couple of weeks so I've booked in for 8 September (2 days before I go to Rarotonga for my sister's wedding), by then I will be 9 weeks. She sounded lovely.

ms has been around for a few days for me and it is very uncomfortable - I know it's a good thing so I am really trying not to complain too much but I feel so lousy, and my eating patterns are totally up the shoot!! I feel hungry so I eat and then I feel totally bloated even though I am sure I haven't really eaten that much, poor DP has no idea what to expect next
My mw is back from holiday on Monday so hopefully she will ring me and will be able to take me on again, she was so awesome last year and I really don't want to have to look for another one.
I'm so jealous of you guys off to Raro - I have no time off now until Xmas!! I am hoping that I manage, and don't get too tired - well if I do I guess I will have to cut down my hours or something. We have basically told everyone already, I wanted to keep it quiet because of last time but it is really hard to keep something quiet in an office the size that I work - we all work very close together and two of the women had already guessed that I was pg again. Also Nelson is a small place and news travels pretty quickly so it's better coming from us than rumours
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned, it's pouring down here so I feel no guilt whatsoever is staying curled up in bed with the laptop

Bunny good luck with your MS hun, I hope it doesn't last too long for you ... and trust me you are definitely entitled to complain about it, I am every day! I hope you don't get it as long as I am having it... wish it would disappear!!!

A holiday would be so lovely at the moment, especially in Raro. The sun, the warmth ...Great! However, I am nice and toasty, tucked uo on the sofa with a blanket (even tho it's not that cold) watching telly. Not too bad for a Saturday in Hamilton lol. Have my first meeting with a mw next week. Is very exciting! No major symptoms yet, but lots of pulling and sore boobs. And having to go to the loo every 5 minutes. Ok more symptoms than I thought! lol. But no ms yet so fx it stays away.

I am shattered, we had quite a big week and it has caught up on me big time. Spent this afternoon in bed sleeping, yet I'm still totally without energy. Had a few words with DH about him needing to pull his weight as I am obviously struggling to do anywhere as much as I am normally able, so I need him to help when I ask. If I didn't wake up so much during the night to pee, I think I'd feel much better as I'm obviously not getting enough restful sleep.
Totally agree about the eating thing. Am ravenously hungry, but don't want to eat. So I eat (cheese and onion toasties are the current favourite), feel sick and bloated, then two hours later am starving again. I'm eating pretty healthily though, but seem to have developed a need for chocolate which normally I don't eat. Luckily still haven't had MS yet, just feel strange most of the time. ETA have just bought the wrist bands to try, so far, so good.
Went to my doctors this week for my first checkup and spent an hour there. Still trying to arrange an obstetrician, so my doctor rang the hospital direct and said "I have a high-risk pregnant patient" which is a bit frightening when someone says it out loud. I'm perfectly alright, just need specialist care, but I'm not sure if I like being called high risk. Anyway, that should get the ball rolling.
Another lovely thing happened too. Went to the clinic to have my hCG checked, and the tester was so excited I was pregnant, she hugged me. I've been going regularly, but not that much! Still made my day though.

Hi Itchy feet, why do you need specialist care?
Dr phoned me Friday and asked me to come in for a scan at 6 or 7 weeks. I thought they didn't do scans till 12 weeks?

Hi Treen, could it be a dating scan? How sure of your dates are you?

I have a blood condition that is affected by estrogen levels, which of course rise during pregnancy, and it certainly made the IVF trickier. The biggest issue is not being able to have an epidural unless labour is carefully timed, and I'm not allowed to carry till full term. Therefore I'm pretty much guaranteed to be induced at 38 weeks and I'm guessing I will possibly end up C-section under general anaesthetic. The funny thing is because I have no control over it, DH and I have absolutely no birth plan, so I'm not at all fazed. We just want our baby here safely with minimal risk to me. Plenty of time to worry closer to the time, but you can see why I have to have specialist care.
Can I just say that I'm loving the sea bands. Don't care if it just in my head, but they really seem to be helping.

Nah, it can't be that. I've been charting for 8 months so my dates are precise. I think I might leave it till 12 weeks. I'll call them then. I seriously doubt there'd be anything to look at at 6-7 weeks. I do, however, have PCOS. Could that be the reason for the early scan? I'm more prone to MC, but I highly doubt they could tell you anything that early?
