Hi all

How does Sunday 22nd February in the afternoon suit?

Also is there anyone from the Hutt Valley area that wants to suggest a meetup place for March?  I don't know the area well.

EDITED FOR CHANGE OF VENUE: SINCE IT'S GOING TO BE TOO WET FOR LINDALE WE'LL MEET AT CHIPMUNKS TAWA.

That sounds great

We could do Avalon Park in Lower Hutt, or even Huia Pool (they have an outdoor paddling pool). I will keep thinking though.

Hmmm, can I invite myself along as well? Not sure if I can make it or not but I am hoping to be free that day. Is anyone bringing their hubby's along?

Mines Not!

Has anyone been to Lindale before?
Are we planning on actually doing the farm walk?

Mine won't be coming either but I may bring my sister and her 2 kids (7yo & 8yo).  I think it'd be great to do the farm walk if the weather's ok, the kids would love it.  Otherwise there's only the bee store and the big cheese to entertain them.

My girls love the Farm walk! There's not really that much else to do there, except maybe coffee at the cafe.

Kylie, the roads out here arent that scary I promise (even though I am too scared to drive on them) Lindale is just off the Main road.

Anyone want to suggest a time?

I'm free all day, morning or afternoon from 9:30am onwards.

Shall we say 1-1:30pmish?  That way we can feed our kids at home and then spend some time out there before having to head home again to feed them dinner.

That should work for us.

My DH will be coming as well. So he agreed to yesterday
Is the farm walk very buggy friendly?

1 - 1:30 works well for us too.

Buggy Friendly? I think so...... I have never done it with a buggy myself but have seen other people. There are a few gates to get through and a bit at the end which is quite hilly.

I am still trying to decide whether to bring my mountain buggy or just put Maddi in a backpack or front pack.

I think it's just the width of the paths/gates I'm concerned about as I remember Staglands was barely buggy friendly so ended up not being double buggy friendly at all.

Yeah staglands is shocking for prams. I am sure Lindale is better, the only thing I can think of that my be a problem is a few of the double gates.

I guess you could email them to find out.

Lindale

Hmm, just looking at the prices, they have gone up heaps since we last visited

Trish from what I remember the width would be fine most of the way, even for a double buggy, but it is quite steep especially at the end (which is steep, uphill, uneven and grassy) and there are a few gates to go through which I'm really not sure about sizewise.

If you have or can borrow a backpack for one of the girls I can lend you our one too.  I also have a comfy cruiser frontpack (which I think goes up to 15kg) if you want to borrow it.
