Hey everyone, and thanks Emma

Now that I'm here though, with this thread, I don't know where to begin!

I guess ...Is anyone else out there??? is a good start!

Christmas and New Years were relaxing - we haven't been up to much, just pottering around home, making the most of time off.

On the TTC front ...

My period arrived, on schedule, again this month and has just finished, so another cycle has rolled over. I've lost count as to whether we are on cycle 20 or 21, but it's getting up there.

It's fine Kazzle

We thought we'd give it a good six months after my surgery (which was in September) to see if we had any results naturally. My endo specialist will refer us to a fertility specialist as soon as we request it, but we want to give it a good 6 months or so after the surgery. We have male fertility issues, as well as my own. We'll probably make the decision around March/April as to when/if we'll take the plunge. I'm not expecting to fall pregnant naturally. DH was against fertility treatment, but as time passes, he is getting a bit more time to think about it. For now though, I'm trying to enjoy life with just DH and my animals and gather some strength - physical and emotional, for what may be to come.

Mostly I am ok, and to be honest, I was completely fine when my period arrived this month ...I'm used to it I suppose. But, my Mum phoned this morning to tell me that my brother and his wife have announced an unexpected pregnancy (my SIL is older, about 46/47 with two children in their early and mid twenties) (my brother didn't want to tell me himself because of my situation), and to my horror, I started crying when she told me, and I haven't been able to stop which is completely horrific. I guess that's what happens when you start putting all your feelings in a box.

Oh Ginger big hugs my friend.

as i said i can only imagine how you are feeling...

When i feel pregnant with Rhiannon we found out the same day my friends found out that due to both of them that they cant have kids...so it was kinda awkward, and she cried as well...she has also just found out that one of her other friends is pregnant and i spent a couple of hours on the phone with her yesterday while she cried and stuff.

but as i said to her...its natural to be upset, and although you are happy for the other person you are also griving for what you cant have at the moment.

I know things will happen for you...i just have this feeling and i also think that DH will come around as well...just dont box things up...and when you need to just come in here and let it all out

Thinking of you...sending lots of hugs

I too didn't know where to start Ginger, so i'm glad you did....anyway I'm still here too.

Have recovered from Surgery really well, well i think so. However i did push it and went back to work a little early, but then had two weeks over Christmas to sit back, relax and enjoy life. AF arrived about 3 days late this month, kind of knew it was coming so wasn't too shocked - am thinking it was a little off due to surgery. Nothing seems too different about it, except (probably TMI) it seems to be very bright red blood, don't recall it being that bright.

We have already booked our appointment with the Specialist for Mid March which is the three months of trying naturally after surgery, during which she fully expects us to conceive, i'm not so convinced, probably just trying not to get hopes up too much. We've been trying now for nearly two & half years and don't want to wait much longer, thought it was best to make appointment now so we didn't have to wait a month from booking to see her.

Am trying to live a healthy/relaxed lifestyle with a focus on me, i'm back to the gym, eating right (well 90% of the time), no alcohol during the week (that's the aim anyway) and have just arrived home from having a fantastic massage.

So here's hoping this year is the year for us and you too Ginger....

Hey mellybelly!

I said to Al that I want to make an appointment with my endo specialist for next month, for a referral to the fertility clinic. She said that we should be pg within 3-6 months after the surgery, and it's my fourth cycle now - so we'd be going back on the 6 month mark. I want to give it 6 months because we have male factor as well, so we're a little bit up against it still.

I'm so, so pleased that your AF wasn't too different - my was horrendous, and the pain for the first 3 after surgery was awful. I'm exactly the same as you - bright red blood now. Apparently that is healthy and the way it should be! Go figure.

I was feeling quite miserable last week with cramps, which seemed to hit a peak yesterday, though today I am much more comfortable. I said to Mum that I wonder if, endo aside, I'm just one of those people who have bad cycles regardless. Oh joy!

Fingers crossed you're right and that this year may be the one in which good things finally happen.

I find it hard to be positive - my specialist expects us to conceive naturally as well, but ...well. My surgery was in September, and not even a hint of anything interesting has happened, except that my cycles are now 29 days, like clockwork. They even arrive at pretty much the same time in the day!

AF used to be more of a deep red on the majority of the days rather than bright red - not green or anything in case you were wondering....

Jezsika - good luck for TTC...am hoping you won't have the same problems as last time..

How long are your cycles thereabouts Jess? Do you have regular ones, or are you a bit spasmodic?

It's a mixture of curiosity, but I'm also hoping that you're not near the end of a cycle without O.
