Well we have had some fun times with Josh. Steph he sounds a lot like Lucas with the tummy thing Josh is just like that and is very fussy too.

Josh is booked in for grommets on the 28th of January. Saw the specialist on Tuesday and he had glue ear in both ears at the moment and that isn't good for December. Even thou his speech is really good the dr said he needs them and when he is a little older (over 3) he will be needing his tonsilis and adnoids out.

Got spoilt rotten today, but was very well behaved apart from his eating.

Lol Leish!

How are you getting on? How is Iliana? And Noah?

Things aren't so good here, especially regarding Nan & Pop

Nana is in hospital, has been for two weeks since we had to rush her in there. She has type 2 diabetes and had severe wounds to her foot, gangrene. Has had several ops and was found to have no circulation below the knee in one of her legs, so was told the leg was coming off. But alas they managed to find a vein that they could re-route which they have done, but two toes have been amputated to date (big toe and one next to it) so she will have to go to rehab and learn to walk again (all your balance is on those toes and she was crippled enough and crouched over as it was). Worse part is that she is suffering really bad chest pains and has had a 2 mild heart attacks already (she has long history of heart problems, can't remember what its called but she has something holding her heart together ...a stert or stern? - something like that). things aren't looking good and it's very touch and go. Pop on the other hand is still deteriorating with his Alzheimers and is calling 8 or so times a day asking after Nana (has forgotten she's left him and what the update is on her in hospital). Tough times, we will get through.

I have no idea how long Nana will be in hospital for though, I've been told by several people (including hospital nurse) that with the type 2 diabetes/gangrene once they start chopping it just carries on. So even though she may have her leg now, further down the track it will be amputated. I don't see her ever leaving the hospital

On a brighter note (if there can be one ) my little guy is starting to pick up a couple words ...not sure if I'm too fond of them though! Dumb, bum and man. And he has a real nick for mixing and matching them, called my Dad a 'Dumb Man', Nana is apparently a ''dumb bum nana' and I'm 'dumb mum' when i won't give into his paddy's. Oh boy. He seems to have a lot of one hit wonders too (as in words or phrases he will say once, and then never to be heard again!). Today it was Nana telling him not to touch her China and he replied blatantly 'I KNOW THAT!' and he carried on trying to grab it anyway. Cheeky little so and so.

How is everyone? Hails how is your pregnancy coming along, how many weeks are ya now? Finding out the sex?

LOL you found me! And here I was thinking I could use this as a place to hide and quietly ramble away to myself about nothing

Thats really sad news about your nana. One of our really good friends has type 1 diabetes and has completely lost the use of both legs and slowly losing feeling in this hands. He is at home but in a wheelchair and in hospital several times a week for dialysis (sp?). He's a mess really and its an awful disease to watch somebody suffer.

Yay for Lucas starting to talk though and lol at his choice of words! Sounds like he's picking things up really quickly and im sure the dumb thing will get dropped before you know it. Hows the dropping the BFing going?

Iliana is doing great. Nearly 4 months and still Bfing and shes sleeping a good 12 hours through the night. Really happy cruisy little chick. Noah is growing up more and more all the time. Can't shut him up. He is on the go 24/7. He's moved to a big bed and made the transition really well. Looking forward to his 24 month plunket visit. I think he's sitting around 16 or 17 kgs. Has Lucas started eating any more variety of food? Noah is shocking. He never tries anything new and has quite a limited range of foods that he will eat. Thats my big thing to tackle in the next couple of months. What kinds of toys is Lucas loving? Noah is really into little figures esp a set of LOTR chess pieces of Christophers. He also loves his space shuttle he got for Christmas and can count backward from 10 and yells "launch" and flies them around the house. Isn't it a cute age??

Love to hear how our other babies are doing and our baby on the way (Hails)

Would be great

Hi everyone!
Wow our babies are two or nearly two.
Charlotte is talking in small sentances now and is verrry bossy. Cute, tho, luckily for her. She is still tiny, wouldn't be 9kgs yet, and only about 78 cms? Just going into size ones anyhow. A real wee pocket rocket.

Hello, I have been away for the past 4 days withthe extended family down in Palmy.

Josh is having them in next Wednesday, I so can't wait. He currently has glue ear in both ears and wicked discharge coming out of the them. And I have had enough of the ear infections. We head down to Palmy on Wednesday morning and will be back that night, gotta love health insurance.

Josh is a solid 16kgs and I have no idea how tall (but very tall). He will be having his 2 year check down soon up here. Talks alot and is saying things we can understand which is good. Loves to sit on the toilet, but doesn't do anything in there. Is starting to say wees and then does them and did that with poos today so we may be starting toileting soon!!!

Must have been nice to visit family Becks. Your doing awesomely on your smoke free-ness. Sounds like Josh is getting really ready for toileting. Go Josh!

Charlotte sounds so cute and such a petite little lady. Iliana is already over 8kgs so I can imagine how petite Charlotte must be.   Can't quite believe these babies are almost 2.

Yeah it was good to be with the family till the person we had the party for embarrassed herself and the family with how drunk she was.

My not smoking kinda failed. I caved the other week and now I don't really care. I am not smoking as much so that is kinda good in my eyes.

Wow - its been so quiet in here I hardly ever check the '07 threads at all anymore and then all of a sudden Bam - we're all here! lol!

Steph - big hugs from me bout your Nanna - have been thinking of you ever since I saw your post on FB. My Grandfather had both his legs amputated (and my great-grandmother did too), it is scary to think of them going through all that and sad as well, so I am sending you huge cyber hugs . I hope things start getting better for her soon!

Leish sounds like things are going really well for you and the family! Glad to hear Noah has coped well with a new baby in the house. Elle seems to be quite fussy now with her eating too *sigh* I probably give in to her too easily ATM as well, being slightly more tired than usual when I get home from work.

gosh Charlotte sounds soo little, I hate to think how big Elle is now, she towers above alot of children older than her, must remember to book her in for a 24 month plunket visit sometime soon.

Becks good luck with the grommets, I know of a few people whose children had them put in and notice such a huge difference!

And as far as we go down here, Elle is great, doesn't sit still much and is VERY independant. She won't go in the pram anymore (well hardly ever) and wants to walk everywhere. Started swimming with her lately but not lessons yet, just getting her more confident in the pool. Thinking next summer for lessons. As for me, I am steadily growing a belly, which has kinda just popped out a bit in the last week, feeling ALOT better than I was to start with. It feels alot different this time around, especially with a toddler, I guess you just don't get the time to take things in and you know more of what to expect etc. Have been feeling movements from very early on - maybe 14 weeks - which I kinda didn't believe they were movements til they kept on happening.

God this has been a novel! And I have to take my nice round belly to bed (am such a nanna ATM). Good to hear from everyone!

Well Josh had his grommets in today and it went really well (well apart from hurting me coming out of the general). So glad they are in and fingers crossed on ear infections this winter.

No good we think the left ear (the bad ear) the grommet is already out already. I am heading back to Palmy tomorrow to see the dr to get the ear sucked and to see what is going on in there.

Leish you said you were going to post every day!!!

I took Josh for a swim today and he put his ears under and so far all good. They say clean water is good and it was clean water we were in.

His ears are all good, grommets were still in place.

Just getting his 2nd birthday all organised. He is having 3 friends over (and a few extras), but just a little party. I got told the 3 he plays with the most and I work with their fathers at camp at the different schools I work at.

Off to a wedding next Saturday (on his birthday) so hopefully he is well behaved.

Annie, you still at the same address??? I have a card for Charly to send to you.
