Congratulations to all the new mums. Our little boy arrived on 29 dec, 5 days late. Just need to figure out how to change my ticker now
Skylar I didn't even know there was such a thing as a 4th degree tear, ouch! Glad you are doing well now.
Starting to settle into motherhood now, still taking each day as it comes though

Wow quiet on here, everyone must be busy mummies We just had the great sleeping baby suddenly awake after 5mins lol. No idea what woke her, might have been her slightly wet nappy or wanting to be fed again little piggy that she is.

I also think some of us may have been sidetracked by fb too I guess at this stage most mums are doing the sam thing lol, trying to get things done around having somebody who needs constant attention.
Felt quite proud of myself today, when Lexie was down for a sleep I managed to vacuum, mop and tidy my bathroom. Then when she was down in the arvo got my bedroom vacuumed, tomorrow my plan is to finish putting clothes away(sooooo much washing!!!!! Who knew someone so small could make that much washing!) and clleaning our tv room.

Wow, you are supermum! I so need to clean, been at Mum and Dads last night and tonight because of Payton being a little unsettled because of her jabs. Need to put the pile of washing away too and vacuum. Boring though!

Yeah I should add that our bedroom hadn't been vacuumed in a while Probably not since Lexie was born....Bad huh lol, since we are downstairs all the time it gets vacuumed once a week(when I can find the time. I think we are getting a bit more of a routine going which helps.
Lexie has been really good after hers, almost like she didn't have them, it's good you can go to your mum & dads for help I love having mum living with us so when Lexie is unsettled mum can help. There has only been about 3 times when I really needed the break and help.

Hi ladies
Our wee Maya arrived on 27 December and is a little honey! She got a bit stuck after an hour and a half of pushing, and had a kiwi cup delivery in the end. Absolutely perfect though (despite a temporary conehead!). All up it was about a 16 hour labour, and was a really positive experience. I couldn't speak more highly of my midwife and the hospital midwives (CHCH Womens and Lincoln Hosp).
Maya's doing really well, gaining weight like a wee piggy. I found feeding pretty difficult to start with, but we're getting there now. She sleeps really well at night and usually does during the day as well, so we feel really blessed. I took her on her first grocery shopping trip today - she was underwhelmed by the whole experience and slept the whole time!
I'm loving being a mummy, although being at home by myself with her felt a bit funny for the first week or so. I'm hitting my stride now though and am really enjoying having a summer baby and going for lots of walks in the sun and fresh air.
Hope all the other mummys and bubs are doing well :-)

Just I had our 6 week jabs... how is it I have a 6 week old already. Our little girls not a cryer, so it was the most I'd heard her cry since being born. Apparently her legs are very muscley so it probably hurt more than it should.
We are being referred to the pediatrician as shes very squeaky when she breaths (sounds like an old window in a horror movie!). So they just want to be sure its all okay.
Hope you are all doing well with your little ones..

Millemamma, DDs squeak is getting louder and louder.... I don't need the baby monitor as she does it while shes sleeping and I can hear her at the other end of the house!! I've got so used to it now I sleep through it, but wake up if it stops!
Peds can't be too worried I got a call to update my contact numbers but not a call for an appt yet! I'll keep you posted on what they say.

Little Miss is booked in to have her squeak looked at on Tuesday.
Yesterday she was soo loud and in time with the pram that I thought the pram wheels needed oiling!

Sorry for slow reply Humum, my little ones squeak is less now but comes up every now n then after she chokes and splutters on the boob, too fast flow apparently. It obviously doesn't bother yr little miss, which is good, just maybe earplugs for mummy. lol

DD has a floppy larynx (laryngomalacia), apparently not unusual, and she will grow out of it at about 12-18mths. Its likely to get louder until she's 6 months....Earplugs will definately have to go on the shopping list!
