Bit late on this but I've got to jump in somewhere! Our little Eira was born 30th December (15 days over!) weight 8lb7/3820g at 54cm. At her last check at 7 weeks she was 5200g/11lb7 and 62cm! In the 2 and a bit weeks since then she's definitely beefed up even more but I'm going to take her down to the Plunket rooms this week to weigh her. :)

Hi SnowdenGreen  what a beautiful name for your little girl! So your girl decided she wanted to be closer to a New Year baby than a Christmas baby then? That is a great weight gain though

Hey, thank you :) she was nameless for over a week - we're very bad at making decisions! Yes, thankfully although I was having contractions from the 19th so we half expected to arrive during Christmas dinner! She's doing very well, considering we had so much difficulty with her latching on to begin with and now I can never seem to get her off!

Hey, my little wee man, James was born on the 23rd of december, 4days late, weighting at 3490grams, now weight 6410grams at 12week, such a big boy i've got.

Got my first giggle today Was changing her nappy and being silly by blowing raspberries on her tummy, apparently it was the funniest thing ever.
It makes up for the all the clothes she has just outgrown lol, a couple of the bodysuits I only bought a month ago, and she has only worn them once, I just can't get over how quickly she has grown in the last 2 months. Still a small 5 month but a large 3 month I have to say. At least my sister will get all the use out of the clothes. Her daughter is due in about 6 weeks and is going to be quite big we think.

Our little man is 12 weeks now, I can't believe it. I was looking at some photos from when he was a newborn, it is amazing how fast they grow and change.

I love looking back on the newborn photo's! I have only 3 pages left in Lexie's photo album(scrapbook) so have another one there all ready to go, and those are just the nice milestone type photos. I have also almost fulled 2 whole pocket albums. I have to laugh cause my bestfriend warned me about being one of "those" parents  I have another couple of hundred photos to print too  and that's just from the last month! I think I go a little OTT, lucky for me an old workmate(who is also my BIL bestfriend) works for one of the companies that does photo processing so he has said to give him a flash drive with the files and he will print them out for us, which is great going to save me soooooo much money.
I like to have lots cause it really shows her growing, which she is doing so quickly.
I have my nephews 1st birthday on the weekend, my sister and I are helping out by doing the cake, she is making the cake(in the shape of a duck, his favourite) and I'm making the water around the duck in other words lots of blue lamingtons. But it has got me thinking about her first birthday, which isn't going to be too far away really, so I'm starting to plan now, I already have a venue(the IL house) and idea for the theme(country high tea) and some idea on the decorations(lots of flowers, saw a neat presentation of them by having the flowers in jars inside a paper bag that has been cut to look like a basket) a little OTT I think but I've always thought that a kids first birthday is more for the adults than the kids. And we are lucky since it will probably be on labour weekend..... Not sure if I want to plan it for that weekend though, last time I did that it was my baby shower...... And we all know why that didn't happen
Has anyone else started to think birthday parties? I know we have an extra few months on everyone else, I like to plan ahead and since I will be nearing the end of my course at that stage I like to plan well in advance.

Oh, so lucky!!! I have hardly any printed because it's so expensive  need to go through them to do a couple of albums though other than just my FB ones.
I've been thinking about Payton's first birthday, at the moment the theme will be summer and butterflies and might even do a cake smash! But still have 8+ months so go so things might change.

So happy with how our Plunket visit went yesterday, even though the nurse thought we were 12 weeks, not 16! That's what happens when you book for end of March not end of February like she was meant to! All good though.
Stats:
Weight: 5.53kg (3.08kg born, average 153.1gm/week) which makes her 12lb 2oz.
Head: 40.5cm (35cm born, average .35cm/week)
Length: 61.5cm long (46cm born, average .97cm/week)
So this still makes her in 0000 for mainly pants and tops, but we're wearing 000 in AIO's but still some 0000 so at least she's getting the most out of her clothes, not bad considering I was scared by my MW that I was having a 9lb baby easily!
We're not going to start solids anytime soon, will reassess at 5 months because she's still only drinking between 60 and 120mls at every feed instead of the 180-210mls she's 'meant to'. She just doesn't seem interested in it! I have no problem with that, she will let us know when she's ready
