You took the words right out of my mouth Nikki, and phrased them a heck of a lot better!

Yes Labour supported it. But that was probably because it was one of the conditions of the Greens joining them in coalition. If anyone recalls, it was mighty close last election and Labour needed the Green's support to govern.

Maybe people bring it up because Labour are the figurehead of the govt and so nothing goes through without them.

So how many years was it that Labour said there would be no tax cuts....about 9 maybe? Then National seem to be ahead in the polls, National have said there will be tax cuts and what do you know...tax cuts that start just before the elections.

And why would National want to announce their tax cuts on Close Up, or Campbell live or breakfast...like one of those programmes are going to get the scoop.

And yes, Petrol prices sure are increasing but then considering petrol has such high taxes on petrol the government just ends up getting more money via the taxes.

I love election year!

I'm a labour supporter from waaay back. I would consider voting national this election, maybe, except I just don't like John "Slimy" Key. I think he is too green (new) and to me, he is just a puppet for the party, he dosen't seem to have any ideas of his own? or any backup for his ideas? John Campbell got him a good one the other night.

I wish I had seen that John Campbell interview! I agree though he does make a lot of statements with no backup whatsoever. But neither does anyone else in his party.

Many call Andrew Jackson the founder of democracy a system. He laid the foundations, and democracy was later transformed into what we see now in the world. On the other day I read a number of very fascinating writings view it now . I really suggest you look and read too, and I think it's extremely beneficial. Good luck
