Hi Kristina. If you're talking about the birth control pill, then it can take anywhere from 1 mth to 1 yr to get regular cycles and start ovulating again. Changes a lot from person to person! I think most people come off the pill around 6 mths before they want to try to conceive (TTC) and use condoms or whatever during that time if they don't want any suprises :)

It took a year for my to get normal regular cycles and start ovulating reliably. Some people get pregnant immediately after stopping. Like mushroom said I would give it 6 months and use condoms if you're not ready yet

Hello Mushroom, thank you very much for your reply! I found some information about it and I found this article: http://www.behappypregnant.com/23/1-week-pregnant/
What do you think about information in the article? Thank you:-)

I think you should watch "The Great Sperm Race" documentary. You can find it on You Tube. It's very informative about the whole process of getting pregnant and explains the possible reasons for months when you are not successful as it's a complicated little journey for those little swimmers.

I've been properly TTC for just over 3 months now, kinda half trying for a few months before that as well and not trying / not properly preventing for the last year or two slowly getting more lax about it. My partner and I have been together for about 8 1/2 years (I'm just about 26 and he is 27)and I have been charting BBT (originally for preventing) for about 4 - 5 years now and was on the pill for about 3 years before that. We will see what the next few months bring as I know technically it's still early days.

Hi KP06. This thread is a bit dead. Most of us actively TTC hang out in the mighty two week wait thread. You are welcome to join.
