A few years ago, a creative thinking study found that out of 1,600 five-year olds, a staggering 98% tested at a genius-level. As they progressed through school, the scores steadily dropped, until, by the time they left high school, less than 2% had retained their inborn genius. It seemed these kids were actually learning to suppress their natural creativity.

Almost a decade ago, award-winning artist and product designer Alice, saw a spark of genius in her two-year-old daughter and sought to enrol her into art school. "Too young to learn!", they said. Art supplies were expensive and it was considered a waste to use them on toddlers. As a child who began to learn at the age of 2, Alice heartily disagreed. The following year a unique studio created just for littlies was born.

From the beginning, AJ Studio taught youngsters drawing, painting, sketching and crafting. As they advanced, AJ Studio introduced STEAM-learning curriculums (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) through their art, design, coding and robotic workshops. So kids don't just draw and paint, they learn how to make them move with numbers and angles, and how science plays a vital role in their daily learning.

As creative as it is, AJ Studio also runs a tight ship. The tutors are highly trained, their equipment is state-of-the-art and courses are meticulously planned.

Inside the modern, purpose-built facility, none of AJ Studio's lessons are ever repeated. Using current themes that children can relate to in their everyday lives, the content is refreshed weekly. This gave the studio a huge advantage when lockdown hit. Used to creating new content, they nimbly jumped to real-time programmes online, punctuated by engaging animated characters – their very own beloved Lulu and Henry.
