THE DOORS OF THE PARADISE RESORT GOLD COAST RE-OPENED ON 1 SEPTEMBER WITH A COMPLETELY REFRESHED LOOK AND FEEL.
Recognised as Australia’s “favourite family resort”, the Surfers Paradise landmark has completed stage one of a multi-faceted upgrade to its public areas, restaurants and recreation facilities.
Guests will be welcomed into a brand new lobby and reception area, with the coastal flavour reflected immediately by a large and colourful aquarium – a signature feature of the hotel’s owner, Dr Jerry Schwartz.
A new games room, guest laundry and retail boutique have been added, along with new food and beverage outlets. The resort now offers the Penguins family restaurant, Jerry’s Burgers, Deb’s Pizza Shack and the Poolside Café and Bar.
Renowned for its multi-million dollar kids’ recreation facilities, Paradise Resort has upgraded and fully refurbished its centrepiece water park Adventure Playground and PLANET CHILL.
The resort’s exterior and interiors have been freshly repainted, high-speed wi-fi has been extended throughout the resort, a new environmentally-friendly ducted air-conditioning system has been installed, and a new telephone system allowing free guest calls locally and nationally has been introduced.
All rooms have been deep-cleaned and sanitised to meet COVID-19 regulations, and the next stage of upgrading will see 66 new rooms unveiled in Dusty’s Digs, along with an adults-only pool, bar and lounge.
Additional kids’ facilities to come later in the year include a miniature train and a carousel.
“The temporary closure of the hotel during winter has allowed us to completely refresh it, meaning even better facilities and entertainment value for families,” says Paradise Resort General Manager, David Brook.
“The new lobby/reception area makes an immediate statement. It captures the richness of our Surfers Paradise location, with its bright, modern and colourful design.
“For parents and their children who’ve experienced so much disruption this year, Paradise Resort offers the perfect environment to recapture the holiday spirit. The children will be totally entertained, allowing the adults to chill out and recharge their batteries.
“There is a lot more to come, as Dr Schwartz is committed to ensuring that Paradise Resort continues to set the pace for quality family resorts in Australia, and as soon as the travel bubble between New Zealand and Australia is reached we will be ready to welcome New Zealand families back here once again.”
