What does the crow say? Caw! Caw!
The donkey says hee-haw, hee-haw!
The cow says moo-o-o-o-o! What do the owls say? Whoo-o-o-o-o!
Children will love imitating the sounds each of the animals, birds, and insects make in this colorfully illustrated, sturdy board book. Its large size means it's probably better for parents to help hold it at storytime.
Unfortunately, I wasn't terribly impressed with this book. It has cool illustrations, and is sturdy enough to withstand chewing and rough handling, but it's definitely too big for little hands to cope with on their own, and the text is less than inspiring. It's a perfectly good book, but I can think of many other animal stories for young babies which are much better.
