A cute Home & Heart decoration to make this Christmas
Here is another craft you little ones will enjoy helping with. Give them the iceblock sticks to paint. They will love looking at their photo year after year. Feel free to add a new photo each year with a small bit of double-sided tape so they can flick through them every year at tree decorating time!
What you need:
🎄 tape
🎄 Paint
🎄 Glue
🎄 Paper card
🎄 Star
🎄 Glitter
🎄 A photo of your little one/family etc around 5cm x 5cm
How to make it.
- Paint 7 (or more to do ‘test runs’) iceblock sticks in the colour of your choice and wait for them to dry - note: paint both sides of the roof stick (for when you cut them later)
- If you want to add some sparkle to them add glue and glitter to your taste
- Place the 6 ‘house’ sticks facing down and tape them together to hold, then place hot glue gun over and paper card on top to hold them in place.
- Once dry trim paper backing if required.
- Flip back over and cut out your photo and glue to the front.
- Using the ‘roof’ iceblock stick – cut it in half on an angle to create the roof line by flipping one stick over and positioning cut faces together.
- Glue roof to the house
- Glue the star to the top of the house or whatever decorative embellishments you have and would like to add.
