DIY: Nutcracker decoration
Create festive magic! Craft your own Ice Block Stick Nutcracker Christmas tree decoration.
Get all you need from The Warehouse & The Warehouse Stationery — A little joy spent with your little one! 🎄🎁✨
What you need:
+ 7 ice block sticks
+ Red and white paint
+ Paint bursh
+ Gold and black sharpies
+ Hot glue gun
+ Twine
+ Cellotape
+ Scissors
How to make it:
1. Set out your sticks (as pictured below) use cellotape to create clean lines for skin, hats, shoes etc.
2. Paint according to the instructions below and wait to dry (you may need a couple of coats)
3. Cut the arms to size (see picture below)
4. Flip the arms and legs over and place per the final image below arm, legs, legs arms (note positioning) then use the hot glue gun to glue the back of them together. You may want to use a spare ice block stick to smooth the glue over.
5. Flip the head and body over in the correct order and glue together
6. Glue together the arms/legs and body (per picture below)
7. Cut enough twine for the decoration to hang, knot it and glue to the back of the Nutcracker
8. Use the gold and black sharpie to create the adornments and facial features as pictured below.
9. Place on your Christmas tree and enjoy the memories! :)
