3 stylish & simple pom pom crafts
On trend and super easy (and cheap!) to make, pom poms can be used to adorn just about anything. Get the kids winding leftover wool and create beautiful fluffy balls of fun.
1. WREATH
This Scandi-inspired wreath only requires a wooden embroidery hoop and clusters of pom poms to be attached to it with a dot of hot glue. Use different sized pom poms in similar shades to create an interesting piece that will brighten up any room.
2. GARLAND
Garlands lift a plain space by introducing a whimsical touch and some colour, especially in nurseries and children's rooms. Here clusters of pom poms in various sizes and harmonious shades are tied along a piece of string. TIP: Hang out of reach of little fingers.
3. FLOWERS
When flowers are scarce through winter, these pom pom flowers are sure to bring fun and colour into your home. After gathering a few twigs, stick a pom pom on the end of each one using a dot of hot glue.
Pom pom know how
1 Using scissors, cut a slit through the middle of a rectangular piece of cardboard and wrap wool around as shown.
2. Pull a small piece of wool through the slit to secure your loops of wool and tie a knot as tightly as possible.
3. Gently slide the pom pom off the cardboard piece and use scissors to cut the loops on each side. Trim the pom poms into fluffy balls.
