Display your child's artwork with this DIY art hanger
Your little artist will feel especially proud of their creations with this DIY art hanger.
You will need:
◼️ Two pieces of pine 90 cm in length, 14 cm wide and 0.9 mm thick
◼️ 7x wooden pegs
◼️ Resene testpots
◼️ Resene Blackboard Paint
◼️ Paint brush
◼️ Glue
◼️ Chalk
Step 1. Paint one piece of the pine in Resene Blackboard Paint. Do two coats of paint for best coverage.
Step 2. Paint the second pine board in Resene Nepal, do two coats.
Step 3. Paint each wooden peg a colour (we used Resene Florentine Pink, Resene Quarter Bison Hide, Resene Nepal, Resene Rusty Nail, Resene Forest Green, and Resene Double Napa).
Step 4. Glue the pegs onto the pine pieces, spacing out evenly.
Step 5. Write your saying on your chalk board. We wrote “My masterpieces” but you could put “My art”, or your child’s name.
Step 6. Either screw the pine directly onto the wall to secure, or you could add flat picture hanger strips to the back of the pine to hang boards – this is entirely up to you.
Step 7. Add your child’s masterpieces to the art peg hanger and admire!
