DIY: cute & quirky birthday party decorations
Check out these great DIY ideas for all sorts of celebrations!
Throwing a celebration can be pricey once you add up all the food and decorations you need to make the day feel special. Have a bit of fun with the kids and DIY for a cute, quirky and unique look.
YOU WILL NEED:
😊 A roll of brown paper
😊 Round sponge paint brushes
😊 A fine paint brush for painting faces
😊 Resene test pots of choice
Step 1. Roll out your brown paper on a table or flat surface and stamp out some round dots using your round sponge brush. We used Resene Milk Chocolate, Resene Half Canterbury Clay, and Resene Double Spanish White.
Step 2. Once the dots are dry use a fine paint brush paint to do the eyes, nose and hair. Be as creative as you want with this!
Step 3. Use the paper to wrap presents or use as a table runner. You can even make some greeting cards and present tags. Happy holidays!
FACE NAPKINS
Personalise plain white napkins by using the same painting process as above, to match the table runner.
GREETING CARDS AND GIFT TAGS
To go with the wrapping paper you can make your own gift tags and cards using white cardboard. We used the round sponge brush and drew a face on them and wrote a personalised message.
