CREATE A COLOUR BALANCE

For bold and bright but not garish, match each bold hue with a softer, more sophisticated version. Use bolder colours in smaller proportions, and use lighter tones for larger areas. We alternated the intense colours in the smaller rays with the pastel colours in the larger rays.
