The Bugaboo range has always been in a league of its own, each one oozing style and grace. After using the Bugaboo Fox for the last few weeks, I have come to realise they not only look amazing, they also adapt perfectly to each of the daily tasks baby and I need to do throughout the week. Firstly I love the simple colour palate on offer. The simplicity really helps when you want to update your pram by mixing and matching the bassinette and seat fabrics, the sun canopy, the grips and wheel caps for a unique look. I chose fresh white on black to complement the modern design lines and wheel design of the pram. I especially love the full leather handle grips; they feel so soft! I tried the Fox out on lots of different surfaces – over gravel, up and down curbs and across a grassy field. On each surface, I found the pram smooth to push and it remained steady and stable. The wheels turned easily and always kept us moving in the right direction. I think the wheels are just the right size for a variety of surfaces: they’re not so bulky that they only suit ‘off-roading’, and not so small that they get stuck. The Fox’s advanced all-wheel suspension and new central joint suspension, maximises maneuverability for a lovely stable, smooth ride for baby. Bugaboo says the new ‘Fox’ is their best drive performance yet, and this was our experience for sure. I was impressed with how well the ergonomic design of the bassinet and the seat makes the pram super comfortable for baby. I found our wee one was happy sitting up in the seat or sleeping in the bassinet for as long as I needed. I was also impressed at how light the Fox is, but how sturdy it feels. Weighing under 10kg, it is light enough to easily lift in and out of the car, but it doesn’t feel so light that it’s going to tip over. I loved that just the lightest one-handed push was all I needed as I wandered around the shops and supermarket. The upright seat can also be changed to either face me or face away depending on baby’s needs at the time. Another amazing feature is the extendable handle. This is a feature I look for on all prams as my husband is 6ft 4 and will use any excuse not to have to push the pram to avoid getting a sore back! He loves the Bugaboo Fox too! Initially I did find it difficult to swap over the bassinet to the seat, as with any new purchase, it can take a while to work out how to use it easily and correctly. However Bugaboo provide clear demonstration videos on their website, so once I watched these, it became a breeze. I am also used to the convenience of a drink bottle or coffee holder, the Bugaboo Fox doesn’t come with this, but accessories can be purchased separately, which is great. Other features I look for in a pram are: how easy the break is to use, how easy it is to put up and down, how safe the harness is for baby, and the size of the under-basket. The Bugaboo Fox ticks all of these boxes. The break is strong and super easy to release; the pram can be opened with one hand; the 5-point harness is comfortable and adjustable; the under-basket is easily accessible and can hold up to 10kg. Over all, the deciding factor for me is always durability. The Fox is made from durable materials, which are machine washable, and it comes with a three-year warranty if you register your pram online. All up, this is a beautiful looking pram, which has been designed with both the baby and the parent’s comfort in mind. Perfect!
