VTech Learn & Dance Dino
Roar, dance and laugh with the innovative Learn & Dance Dino. This dinosaur introduces the STEM basics of coding, movement, cause-and-effect, fine motor skills and emotions. With three emotion tiles (happy, angry, sleepy), three music tiles (hip hop, marching, ballet) plus three-character tiles (dinosaur, robot, and monster), mix and match the tiles to create different combinations of play - happy hip-hop Dino or angry-marching monster!
When a tile is inserted into Dino’s back, he moves, sings and dances.
The emotion tiles helps children build social and emotional skills. Angry Dino may stomp around or say, "Let's practice calming down," helping children learn that there are many ways to express feelings.
Suitable for 2-5 Years, and available from October at Kmart, The Warehouse, Farmers, Toyworld, Mighty Ape and Toyco.

01/02/2020 -Our three year old boy loved the Dino. He enjoyed working out which tiles made the dinosaur stomp or dance by looking at the pictures on the tiles & then inserting into the Dino’s back, then mirrored the stomping movement himself. He didn’t grasp the concept of creating different emotions or feeling with the emotive tiles, a skill that he will develop with age, but I love the idea.He quickly incorporated the Dino into his pretend play, using him to play alongside action figures. We loved the size of the Dino and the egg that came with it to store the tiles.Another great product from VTech and one that will grow with our 3yr old, as well as our 3 month old!

26/01/2020 -We were lucky enough to receive the VTech Learn & Dance Dino to review just at the start of the holiday period, and the fun has not stopped since! When we first opened the dino, my daughters loved the look and feel- being easy to hold and manipulate whilst still being large enough to be truly interactive. Both loved singing and dancing along with the songs produced. In particular, my youngest loved to copy what the dino was doing, providing hours of fun and entertainment. My four year old also loved changing the tiles over, and working out what would happen each time. She had certain favourite songs she wanted to listen and dance to, so loved working out which combination of tiles produced them. The tiles were easy to handle, and very straightforward to use having both the shape and colour cue for fitting. We loved that the dino turned itself off after a while, elongating the battery life massively, especially when the children were using the dino in another room. We also loved how you could alter the volume, or turn it off completely, depending on what was happening at the time.Overall, a fun interactive toy encouraging movement and exploration for a wide variety of ages.

23/01/2020 -Both my children loved this Dinosaur! They enjoy changing all the plates and I love how all the pieces came with a handy dinosaur egg container to hold them in! The plates are great for teaching shapes, colours, different emotions and dances. It’s interactive and fun! I also love how it turns off it’s background music once it’s been inactive for a while! Major bonus! My 3 year old was intrigued with changing the different tiles to discover different effects with some encouragement. He was drawn to changing the emotion tiles and seeing the different reactions and songs from the Dino. My 2 year old really engages with changing the tiles but didn’t make any connection with the changing of different songs and different effects of the Dino. My children independently explored Dino and his functions. They are both able to insert the tiles with ease to make different combinations and they use colour matching to place the tiles. The detailed pictures on the tiles helped them to understand which function they were coding and with some guidance they are beginning to understand that changing the tiles results in different emotions and feelings from Dino. Playing independently with Dino, my children enjoy watching his movement and listening to the different songs. With some encouragement and direction they then would engage in their own dancing and movement.
