Things to do in Sydney
Thanks to our Facebook friends for their family friendly ideas for holidaying in Sydney.
The Darling Quarter Kids Playground in Sydney is well worth visiting. It is centrally located, close to other attractions (Darling Harbour, Wildlife Sydney Zoo, Sealife Aquarium and Madame Tussauds Museum, etc). And best of all, it is FREE! It has many activities for the kids of all ages: swings, flying fox, ropes, sand diggers, etc.
Wild Life Sydney Zoo: Love that it is centrally located, close to other attractions and you can get up close with koalas.
Family fun day Sunday: Only $2.50 per person for unlimited travel by train, bus, ferry or rail. This is an awesome way to explore Sydney and also for little kids to experience different mode of transport.
Sea Life Aquarium: Centrally located, and much bigger than Kelly Tarlton in Auckland!
Madame Tussauds: It is lots of fun — kids love the props that are being provided to take photos. It’s a big dress-up game!
Luna Park: An amusement park for all ages.
Powerhouse Museum: LOADS of exhibits for kids, making it a very fun day.
Sydney Tower Eye: A little like Auckland's Sky Tower except taller! It is centrally located and you can also do the skywalk if you are brave enough!
Wet N Wild! Love that you don't have to go to the Gold Coast for this!
IMAX Theatre: Huge screen, awesome stuff! And some educational movies sometimes.
