Beautiful baby shower with just a hint of boho and a lot of style!
A sunlit brunch with her closest family and friends was the perfect way to celebrate a baby shower. Lindsay Chesley shares her beautiful morning with us.
WHERE WAS THE LOCATION AND WHAT WAS THE THEME?
We had the baby shower at The White Space Studios in St. George, Utah. It’s a beautiful space usually used for photo shoots but I've always loved how open, airy and bright the studio was so I knew that it would be the perfect place to have my baby shower!
Ever since I found out we were having a baby girl I had a vision of the theme I wanted. A soft, simple, yet slightly boho style. We incorporated soft blush pink tones and hints of pampas grass throughout the shower and it turned out exactly how I pictured.
TELL US ABOUT THE PARTY...
We had around 30-40 of my closest family and friends join us at the shower. We did a brunch theme for the food which included a waffle and french toast bar with lots of different fruit and topping options. We also had a ‘mom-osa’ bar with alcohol-free drink options which turned out so cute. I didn’t have any games at the shower because I didn't want to take away from the mingling and opening of presents and it ended up being a great decision.
WERE THERE ANY SPECIAL MOMENTS THAT STOOD OUT?
One of my favorite things that we did was instead of having guests bring a card with their gift, I asked them to bring a children's book and sign the inside with a short message for our baby girl – these will be such special keepsakes to have and be able to share with her as she grows up.
TIPS FOR PLANNING A BABY SHOWER?
My number one tip for planning a baby shower would be to not book your shower too far or too early in advance. I had my shower at 33 weeks and it felt like the perfect time, I still had plenty of time to see what else we still needed to get for her before she made her arrival. Our family and friends absolutely spoiled her and we are so grateful for them!
