Fruit salsa with cinnamon tortilla chips
Makes 24
Ingredients for the fruit salsa
• 4 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
• 6 kiwifruit, peeled and sliced
• 6 bananas, peeled and sliced
• 4 oranges, peeled and sliced
• 2 tsp fresh lime juice
• 1/3 cup jam of your preference
• 1 1/2 tbsp white sugar
• 2 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Ingredients for the cinnamon tortilla chips
• 10 four tortillas
• 100g melted butter
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Method
1. Heat oven to 180°C.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together apples, kiwifruit, bananas, oranges, lime juice, jam, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
3. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for approximately 20 minutes.
4. While fruit salsa is chilling, lightly brush melted butter over the tortillas and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Cut into triangles, place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and bake until golden.
5. Serve the warm cinnamon tortilla chips with the chilled fruit salsa.
